In between the raindrops, I can see a glimpse of summer! And with summer, the busy season as a gardener. Also known as my favorite season!
So, here is the goal summary for April:
1.Begin beekeeping! The bees should be coming in a week or 2! I’m nervous and excited all in one!! And the electric fence is almost good to go!

2.Make a pollinator garden.It’s looking good! Still have a some weeds, but I have planted black eyed susans, poppies, sunflowers and echinacea! Those bees and butterflies will be happy!
3.Vacation somewhere different! (Now that the boy is getting older, we want to see more of this country!) We have a school field trip coming up with the boy and have a good idea for a summer trip!
4.No new fashion for me for 2016! I know most females would freak out over this one! Nothing bought at all! Still need to figure out this bathing suit issue and need some nicer short sleeved shirts!
5.Reduce garbage! (Did you know the average American produces 4.4 lbs of garbage per day?!?!) Remember how I only wanted to have one bag of trash this month? We succeeded!!!!

6.Complete the 2016 in 2016 challenge. That means getting rid of 2016 things in our home this year! We are still on track!

7.Finish our kitchen remodel. Nothing completed in the kitchen this month. 😐
8.Build an arbor and plant some grapes. (I’ve wanted to do this for years!) Great news all! The holes are dug for the posts and I have bought the grape vine! Fingers are still crossed for this project!
9.Expand the garden! We have added 3 more raised beds and we are also planting the grandparent’s garden too! Hopefully lotsa food!
10. Preserve more food for next year! Maybe by next month we will have some strawberries to make jam! But the good news is that we still have some pasta sauce from last season!
11. Organize the least organized area of the house, the garage! It still isn’t looking amazing yet, but it’s well on its way!

12. Treat my crafting more like a business instead of a hobby. Not too many sales this month, less than 10. But we have been so busy with prepping the garden!
13. Work on budgeting and paying down this house! We are plugging along making double payments and hoping to get this place paid off in less than 10 years.
So, how are your goals going?!?!
We were able to get so much accomplished this month, and today is the start of another great one! (Hopefully!)

Awesome advice, you’re very inspiring. I can’t wait to hear the bee update, and the pasta sauce sounds intriguing. We have potatoes, broccoli and cabbage in so far…had to install a huge fence to ward off the deer. We’re interested in composting, but hesitant because of the bear situation. I’m so glad that you feel inspired! Keeping track of everything is so motivating! We have plenty of bears around here and they are not at all interested in the compost. I do believe there has been a skunk or opossum in it before, but no big problems! Good luck with your endeavors!

I hope so too! The good part is that whole room has been decluttered. But we will be finished this year!
